Last month Steve was gone for 2 weeks on an elk hunt (which was a success-yeah Steve!!). My girls and I were by ourselves, which usually is no problem. But, I developed an emergency medical condition that required emergency treatment. My fleshly nature is very independent and asks for nothing. I was in need of help and simply refused to ask for it! Luckily, I have some great neighbors and friends (thanks Stacy!) that “pushed” themselves on me and told me they were going to help. Who am I to think “I do not need anyone or any help!” God revealed to me (ONCE again) that is PRIDE=sick, ugly, gross pride in my heart. Too think I do not need help from the body of believers!! YUCK!! I did need help-I needed a lot of help! But I simply refused the help that was offered. Proverb 16:18 I do not want to fall because of my pride. I do not want to have a haughty spirit. God allows things to happen in our lives. I believe this first E.R. visit happened in my life for several reasons. #1. To knock me down off my pride. And #2 to have a chance to witness to my Jehovah Witness neighbor. Stacy Bundy and I spent 5 hours in the E.R. talking and sharing with my neighbor about THE TRUTH. What a precious time that was. Hopefully the Holy Spirit translated my muddled word into coherent words in spite of pain medication. Romans 8:28 After the first emergency scare-a week later I was back in the E.R. with news that I had a “could be fatal” blood clot in my left lung. I was hospitalized for 5 days as the Dr’s tried to determine where the clot was coming from. To this day, they still do not know where it came from-they may never know. Even as I sit there and write this, I am “not understanding God’s ways”. I know HE is all sufficient and all knowing. God will reveal to me, in HIS time, what lessons are to be learned. In the meantime, I am going through the Book of Psalms praising God for being my ROCK and my FORTRESS. I am thanking God for a second chance at life...So many things to be thankful for…...so little time…… Galatians 6:10 We are called to do good to one another AND accept that good that is being done. I am a part of an amazing Body of Believers! I felt so loved and nurtured the last few weeks. Thanks for all the prayers, cards, yummy food, and help with my Recovering (hopefully quickly!),
